What is Gratitude?

Gratitude is saying "thank you" for the things, people, and experiences that improve your life. It's about noticing the small joys and being thankful for them. When you're grateful, you see the world in a brighter light.

Why is Gratitude Important?

How to Practice Gratitude

Start a Gratitude Journal

Write down three things you're thankful for every day. They can be big or small, like a sunny day or a fun game with friends.

Gratitude Jar

Decorate a jar and fill it with notes of gratitude. Whenever you feel thankful, please write it down on a piece of paper and place it in the jar. Read them all at the end of the month and relive those happy moments!

Thank You Cards

Make a list of people who make your life special. To show your appreciation, create thank you cards for them. It could be your teacher, a friend, or a family member.

Gratitude Walk

Take a walk outside and notice the beauty around you. Be thankful for the fresh air, the trees, and the sounds of nature.

Gratitude Art

Draw or paint a picture of something you’re grateful for. This could be your pet, favorite place, or anything that makes you happy.

Fun Gratitude Activities

  • Gratitude Bingo: Create a bingo card with different gratitude challenges. Try to complete them all!

  • Grateful Circle: Sit in a circle with family or friends and take turns sharing something you're thankful for.

  • Thankful Tree: Cut out leaves from paper and write one thing you're thankful for on each leaf. Place them on a tree poster to create a colorful display.
